Dora at the Alabang van terminal

Add to Technorati Favorites
Last December (2007) my family attended the wedding of my husband's paternal cousin, in Macalelon, Quezon. Our kids were excited. It's been so long since we as a family last traveled farther than Metro Manila or Dasma. Besides my daughter is still 3 years old, so she stays mostly at home, while my son is in the 2nd grade at Holy Child Jesus Montessori. Nowadays hubby and I had to synchronize our scheds with that of our son so we can all spend rare bonding times together.
So, we really were glad when my husband was asked by his cousin to let Joy be one of the flower girls and JB to be the ring bearer. Of course, the thought of my kids specially my daughter marching as flower girl and my son as ring bearer made us more excited of the event than our kids!

We took the van ride to Alabang from the Robinson's terminal. The kids were delighted when they saw the Dora and Friends Activity Center (Or was it a hill/mountain? A path winds up a structure made to look like a hill/mountain. The structure was decorated with Dora characters.) I took some shots of them while the van was being filled with passengers.

Greenbelt to Glorietta

I have always wanted to post photos of Greenbelt and Glorietta so my family, friends, and former classmates can somehow picture me walking to and from work each day. I took the following photos all over the web and I took the liberty of posting them in my blog since no copyright label accompanies each photo.

This is another shot of the pocket garden at Greenbelt. Seattle's Best, Starbucks, Cafe Havana, other cafes/restos, as well as the entrance to G3 (Greenbelt 3) fronts this pocket oasis. I always pass by here in the morning after getting off the bus. The place beyond the garden is now under construction and will be called G5. It will house more high end shops for the upper market - the A and B crowd.

The Greenbelt chapel located right smack in the middle of Greenbelt's shopping area.

Another shot of Greenbelt's pocket garden and pond.

The pocket garden at the back of Ayala Museum and G4. This portion of Greenbelt's mini park skirts the chapel.

This is Ayala Museum's front facade

The walkway. I often pass through here in the evenings on my way to the bus station at Park Square.

Glorietta 4's main entrance. The building at its left side is Ascott which was formerly named Oakwood, the site of the Magdalo soldier's (coup d' etat attempt) stronghold.

Inside Glorietta, at the mall's center. Often the site of mall activities such as fashion shows, auto shows, etc. It is where the Glorietta play place (my kid's favorite place at Glorietta) is located.

Paris' short hair

Add to Technorati Favorites

No matter, Paris is still NEWS! I think her birthright afforded her that! Here's some of Paris' latest photos I saw on

http://www.thehiltonfiles.com/paris-hilton-in-malibu-with-short-hair/.

She's sporting a new hair style. I think this has something to do with her hair extensions business whatsoever.

TOPSHOP

TOPSHOP

TOPSHOP is currently the place to shop for fashion conscious people in UK and the US these days. I am curious as to how the clothes there look like. With all the buzz it's been getting, more so when Kate Moss signed in.

I found TOPSHOP's photo at (again) http://chicinparis.wordpress.com/ . I read the following entry from the same site:

"...of the moment fashion at great prices. With the pound making London a very expensive city these days its nice to find fun clothes at bargain prices. TOP SHOP now has a vintage section..."

Phoebe Behind the Scene

I came across this interesting tidbit about Phoebe Cates. It somehow caught my curiosity 'coz it was once thought that she figured in a car accident before and because of it she passed away. And it was tought (I think even these days) that she is part Filipino.

Thanks to http://chicinparis.wordpress.com/ for the following tidbit.

one of Phoebe Cates latest pics

"...former actress and now boutique owner of the eclectic Blue Tree boutique in New York City. Phoebe has a funky look and style. Her wardrobe is made up from an eclectic selection from her discoveries abroad. Her greatest asset is her hair – a super cut and very shiny ..."

famous! no questions asked!

We got introduced to Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham via Spice Girls. When she got married to David Beckham they formed a very popular dou. Their influence is felt in the fashion industry, ads, and almost anything they put their hands on. Here’s some photos of the couple from http://perezhilton.com .

I find their photos sexy. I can sense that they really have a special and very warm relationship. I think no husband and wife can pose for such a testosterone laden photo if they are not that comfortable in their relationship.

Wow! this is something!. They really have the real thing. Ithink so, if you're in that kind of relationship you can sense it.

the most important thing

when we're young we consider food, clothes, shopping, shoes, hanging out, as some of the most important things...

things change, perspectives change, and mine did more than a couple of times.

my boyfriend gave me a different perspective of things, more so when we got married.

and it changed again with the birth of our first born,

my son and I
the loss of a newborn, and more so when our bunso - our daughter got confined at the hospital...

my daughter a week after hospital confinement

life is a process, and this thought sinks deeper with each life's lesson that comes our way...
