My daughter (3 years old) likes to tinker with my digicam. I always encourage her (whenever she tries to do some new things) and try to teach her how to use the camera whenever she’s in the mood to be taught. Here are two of her experiments

Joy trying to take her own photo

Most of her shots are out of focus and blurry, but these two are my favorites. The two pictures turned really nice.

korean gizmos

Add to Technorati Favorites
i like my USBs because of their convenience, then today i chanced upon this website

the verrry cool USB!
a very techie USB will soon be on sale in Korean stores! i am craving for that USB! the post on the USB says

Cellink of Korea has launched a new USB microSD memory card reader that is built into a mobile charger, targeting the Korean market specifically. The Cellink T doubles up as a portable data storage when you slide it open, and if you need to charge your handset, change it to swing mode instead. In addition, it makes for the perfect intermediary tool to transfer data like photos, videos and music from a phone to PC and vice versa. No idea if this will be exported outside of Korea or not.

i find that gizmo very very cool indeed!!! hope its manufacturers will consider distributing it in the Philippines, SOON!

mall mania
i can't understand how or why malls still get lots of mallgoers/shoppers each day when the papers, radio, and TV programs kept on "saying" that the economy is going bonkers.
in Dasma i haven't heard of long lines infront of rice retailers' outlets, or rice shortage. same thing goes for MOST (other) places here in the Phil. rice shortage? i don't know, it think it is so hyped and over hyped that people thought that such a thing is real.
i think that some political machinations/manipulations are going on to cover something bigger, to twist the country's political climate according to some people's grandiose plans...
well, that's my thought anyway, not necessarily everybody's... :)

first day in daycare

Add to Technorati Favorites
my husband and i were quite excited for our daughter. today is her first day at school.
we are so grateful she agreed to join the community's summer daycare. it will serve as her preparatory ed. for prep school.
she knows her basic colors, can count from 1 to 10, knows her name, eager to learn how to dance and sing, but she can hardly write her name. in time she will learn how to write, of course, we've been trying to teach her that.
we've been cajoling her since before summer started, to join the summer class for nursery at the nearest private school in our community. i don't know why but she changed her mind about going to school. then last monday, while she and her dad were on their way back to the Kumon center to fetch her kuya they met teacher Cora. teacher Cora was my son's teacher in daycare. the teacher told my husband that the daycare center will have a summer class. she told hubby to bring our daughter at the school and enroll her for the summer class. my daughter agreed when my husband asked if she wanted to attend the summer class. so hubby and teacher agreed that Joy will be there on enrollment day!
i was so happy when i found out, that, i immediately bought some school supplies and some blouses
for my daughter on the same day!
and today is her first day at school. my hubby kept on sending me text msgs on what is happening at school. i think he is more excited than i am!
i'm a bit sad though 'coz i forgot to leave my camera so they can document my daughter's first taste of school life, hehee.

expectations

Add to Technorati Favorites
sometimes without realizing it, we tend to expect better things from other people. those people may have different views, skills, orientations, etc. in short they are not you... op kors!
hay! i am exasperated sometimes when people fall short...
when i extend my arms longer than i should and those people i extended my hand to can't even figure out the things i had to go through just to extend that hand...
well, everyone is different.
yup! that's why no single thumbprint on Earth is the same!
but i can't help letting go of the good in me, letting the good part extend my hand...

Pearl bracelets, and things

Add to Technorati Favorites
I enjoy making bead accessories.
I like to make pearl braceletes lalo sa watches. Here's a couple of those I did.
The pics are blurred (well, my cam isn't techie enough) but I like to post them here; like the pearl bracelet with a string pouch bag (I sell the pearl, Swarovski bracelets, and watches wrapped in those string bags) beside it.

I enjoy making things like this...

Whenever I make accessories, I feel as if I've entered a different world (corny, pero ganun talaga, hehe...) as if that realm is mine alone...

Here are other pieces:

Fall?

Add to Technorati Favorites
Those trees along Rada St., in Legazpi Village, shed their leaves during the hot summer months. I am sometimes awed by the scene of the leaves falling like snowflakes. It makes me smile and think that maybe that's how leaves fall, how trees shed their leaves in colder regions during the fall. It must be one glorious sight -- trees and leaves in varying colors, more so when the leaves fall like snowflakes...

falling...

and falling...

a day at the zoo

Add to Technorati Favorites
The kids has been asking for a trip to the zoo since I can't remember and since our son was given a special award at their school's recognition program my husband and I decided to give our kids a day at the Manila Zoo.

I was hoping that the zoo has been given the 'facelift' it needs as well as new animals to replace the old and sick looking ones. that the kids may enjoy the trip.

Here's some of the photos we took:
The elephant got the kid's attention first

Joy's first encounter with a live elephant and JB's 2nd

awed!

that white peasant took my kid's curiosity

also that gorgeous peacock...

Joy just kept on returning to that swing, she preferred the seat in the middle
